In this presentation, I share tips on how to find and use your voice and develop skills to influence decisions.

Extreme Career Change: Nothing Constant but Learning
2:50 PM - 3:10 PM
AUDIENCE: Mid-Career

What keeps us whole through change? What may tear us apart? In 17 years of work I've moved from working at a pub to academia to activism to project leadership in the tech industry. It has been a journey of nothing constant except change and important learning. In this talk I'll share my experiences with career change, its price, and the amazing possibilities it brings about.

Transforming Organizations – from the Perspective of a Technical Mind
3:10 PM - 3:30 PM
AUDIENCE: Senior Women

How do you create high performing technical teams? As technical people, we’ve been successful in our careers by solving technical puzzles. As we’ve moved into management positions, we find that people aren’t nearly as straightforward as the systems and software we managed in our youth. I will share experiences with three organizational transformations and thoughts on how “organizational puzzles” are similar to the “technical puzzles” we already excel at solving.
