We propose design strategies in realizing stress management technology by creating a set of visualizations based on an analysis of 210 person-days of continuous sensory data collected in natural living conditions. These visualizations are targeted to address the unique challenges posed by stress management such as facilitating identification of patterns in a substantial amount of data, providing access to personalized stress profiles, and enhancing awareness of context-dependent stressors.
There’s been much debate about the hamburger icon and side menu, but enterprise companies haven’t contributed to the conversation. Thus, problems associated with the hamburger appear to be limited only to consumer products. While working for an enterprise company, we found the hamburger to be problematic for the company’s mobile product. This presentation illustrates the move from a hamburger to a home icon, and opens the conversation to include enterprise.
The Bloomberg Professional Service and keyboard are used by a wide variety of professional users. Traditional HCI methodologies were used and sometimes tweaked during the research, design, and evaluation phases of the most recent keyboard release. This talk recounts methods used and comments upon the utility of each method.
