Ph.D. candidate in software engineering of The University of Texas at Dallas
Junia Valente is a Ph.D. candidate in software engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas, under the supervision of Dr. Alvaro Cardenas. Her current research focuses on combining concepts borrowed from trusted computing (e.g., attestation) to improve the security posture of embedded devices monitoring the physical world. Previously, she contributed to research projects in multi-agent simulation systems and her work has been recognized with a best demo award and two best paper awards. She holds a M.S. degree in Computer Science and a B.S. degree in Software Engineering with Minor in Music from The University of Texas at Dallas.
