NIFC Division Leader of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
Katherine "Katie" Lewis received her B.S. in Mathematics, with a minor in Computer Science, from the University of San Francisco in 1998. She began her career at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), located in Livermore, CA, in June of 1998 in the field of massively parallel mesh generation. Katie has held several positions at LLNL, including both technical and administrative leadership positions. She became the Division Leader for the Computer Scientists working for the National Ignition Facility (NIF) at LLNL in January of 2015. Katie remains involved with the massively parallel meshing and simulation communities, both at LLNL and externally.
